All about internet.org and Nepal
Internet.org is a Facebook-led initiative
bringing together technology leaders, nonprofits and local communities to
connect the two thirds of the world that doesn’t have internet access.

Currently, Internet.org service has been launchedin Zambia, Tanzania, Kenya, Colombia, Ghana, and India. According to Mashable, Internet.org aims to have its app available in 100 countries by the end of 2015
In Nepal it will be very essential for enhancing people’s
life by service like access to health sites, education, jobs portal, and
communication.
Let’s talk importance of each service separately
1)Health sites : In
Nepal people still feels difficult to talk about serious disease like cancer,
HIV , even we hesitate to talk about sex
education, contraceptives ,periods etc
which is important for us. With the introduction
of free internet service people will be
motivated to get information through app/sites and will starts to share among circle.
2) Education :We live in the country where load shedding becomes major consideration for everyone. Entrepreneur gets de-motivated to start his new business. Firms don’t want to add new production line. Among them student are also the victim of having addiction of not reading because of load shedding. And in this situation they will overcome the addiction of not reading through free education sites on App. And I know most of the Nepali student carry smart phone and there will be no difficulty in downloading internet.org App.

3) JOBS search: we love to find things easily so when we
will have free access to job search portal. We will do more job search and find
jobs of our interest which will stay longer.
4) Business: Think of the farmer of terai and hilly region who knowingly or unknowingly sale their crops at lower price to sahu/Businessman They will be able to get information of market rates of crops and sell it at better price. Literacy rate are increasing, our knowledge are increasing, new ideas are hitting every second and we want to start in a new way but we lacks Tech at affordable price. I hope you have understood what I want to say.
- You can start manufacturing product that you would love to
sale and free online platform will help you.
5) communication : yes we are still paying high charge to
our phone operator for using calling and internet service. And its needed to be
cheaper but till its get cheaper we can use facebook for free.

MYTH: Facebook has launched Internet.org to help drive its own growth and revenue opportunities within developing countries.
FACT: There are no ads within the Facebook experience on Internet.org.
If revenue were the goal, Facebook would have focused resources on markets
where online advertising is already thriving
